Do you have chickens in your garden or small hobby farm? Then you have probably already heard of red mites – or worse: dealt with them yourself. Red mites (also known as poultry mites) are one of the most common and most persistent parasites affecting chickens. And unfortunately, they often show up when you least expect it: during warm spells, in damp weather, or simply when your coop offers just that little bit of shelter they are looking for.
What makes red mites so treacherous is that they hide well during the day in cracks, crevices, and under perches. They are rarely seen until your chickens suddenly show a change in behavior or health: restless, scratching, pale combs, or even egg stop. By then, the infestation is often already in full swing.
Our spray has undergone a unique production treatment to create a positive charge in the bottle . This allows the product to adhere better to red mites, and the natural oils work faster and more powerfully. (Many parasites, such as red mites, have a negatively charged surface.)
